Hard Life Lessons
This Valentines day we didnt go out and get Valentine's cards, we instead got sympathy cards for both my mom and Nate's Dad and step mom. My mother is experiencing a miscarriage, which she is very devastated about. The kids understand the pain miscarriage causes and wanted to show their grandma they care. As for my in-laws, their dog, Sammy had to be put to sleep yesterday and my mother in law is absolutely devastated and is extemely sick to boot so we brought some cards and candles to each to show we care. This is such an important lesson for our kids and I am glad to be able to show them how we can be compassionate to those who are hurting.
Baby Preparation
We went out and and got some things to prep for Madelynn's arrival finally. I haven't been too worried about it since we have so much left from Kenna, but they are actually born in two different seasons so clothes are a bit more of a challenge and we needed another single stroller so that I can sling/moby Maddy while pushing Kenna in something lightweight for quick trips with all the kiddos. I have found tons of clothes at a thrift shop over the last few months, but even still, I felt like she deserved her own little wardrobe with some new things in it. I shopped some great sales at Carters and Children's place and finally I feel we are ready for this baby. I of course, still need to do all the washing, but beyond that, we are ready! Its so exciting to have all the preparation done and just sit back and wait.

A Family Hike
One of the hottest pics ever of Nate....It melts me to see him with our babies

It was a beautiful day with such a nice view where we were hiking
You just can't beat the weather in SoCal. This has been the mildest winter and we have enjoyed taking full advantage of outdoor things that it will soon be too hot to do.
