Madelynn Breanne

I am absolutely in love
First tandem nursing session

Madelynn ready to go home

YAY, outta the hospital

My gorgeous girl

Our family of 8

I went in for my induction Wednesday March 25th at 7am. My Dr came in and broke the water around 8:45 and they started pitocin pretty shortly after. It took a while to start having contractions, but they finally started around 12:30 and about 1:30 I had my first painful contraction and a HUGE pop and my bag of waters REALLY ruptured good and after that, the real labor began. I labored al natural and stayed in such good control. I was very proud of myself. I couldnt have done it without such a great, supportive husband and nurse. They were both so great. I bounced on the birthing ball til I hit 8 and at that point I was going so quick that they wanted me in bed to slow down while waiting for the Dr. He showed up in the nic of time. He ran in massaged my perineum twice and at that point he said, "nevermind, just push." So I pushed 1 good one and her whole body flew out in a swoosh with a splash at 4:17pm. It was such a relief to have her out. I started to hemmorhage a little so they gave me Methergen and I was good to go. All and all, it was a perfect, textbook delivery. She weighed in at 6lbs, 6 ounces 18.5 inches long. She is beautiful, healthy, nursing well and the family is completely in love with her. I had my first tandem nursing session this morning with Kenna and Maddy and it was more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. I truely feel blessed. I cannot belive how lucky I am to be able to have such easy labors and deliveries and healthy babies. I don't take that for granted for a second. Life is wonderful and we were sent home 21 hours after delivery!

She's Almost Here

Tomorrow morning is the amnio to check her lungs, but I am dilating and thinning out more (4cm 80% effaced) so who knows if we will make it to our induction Wednesday or not. We get the amnio results Tuesday and I go in first thing Wednesday morning to get this girlie outta here! I can't wait to meet her, to caress her teeny little head. I cannot believe I am going to be a momma for the 6th time, its such an amazing feeling. The entire family is counting down to her arrival.....hoping she enjoys being born into such a big fam! Can't wait to see what she weighs either. If you wanna guess her weight, by all means, leave a comment. I am guessing low 6's. Here are the other kid's birthweights.

Kayla 7,7....3 days overdue
Wyatt 5,8 on his due date
Everett 6,3...2.5 weeks early
Tanner 6,15.....9 days early
Kenna 7,1.....1 month early

We're Home

And we have great news! Kenna does NOT have Diabetes Insipidus. There are still a few tests out that can take a few weeks to come back and those are to see why she is so thirsty that she would even want to consume 90+ ounces a day. For now, they said basically the lab work is all bad from her flushing her body too much and having too much protein in her milk so we were told no more than 20 ounces a day of milk(and nursies whenever of course) and water only. Last night went way better than expected, she only drank 9 ounces of water vs her normal 4 bottles of milk. She did nurse once as well, but not for long so I think she may just have a severe milk addiction lol. I hope thats all it is. 7 more days til baby gets here and thats one thing we can knock off the list of things to worry about now thats great news.

Kenna

I noticed Kenna drinking WAY too much over the past few months and then peeing through cloth diapers to an unmanageable degree so we switched to Huggies Supreme. Well, to my astonishment, she wets THROUGH those in 1.5 hours all day long and night too. I decided to track how much she is drinking. I came up with an average of 80+ ounces a day ON TOP of nursing(not sure how many ounces) so I called the dr just to check and they had me bring her in for a check up. Unfortunately the check up revealed some scary information, her BUN levels were too high, her urine is spilling protein and not concentrating properly and a few other labs came back not so hot. They are now planning to admit her Sunday or Monday to the childrens hospital for 48 hours to diagnose her. He believes she likely has Diabetes insipidus. I did have Gestational Diabetes during her pregnancy so we suspect this is what she has, but in either case, it must be diagnosed quickly so she doesnt end up in an emergency situation. I appreciate everyones thoughts and concerns. We are hoping somehow its nothing, but either way, just getting diagnosed it important. We just hope to know what it is and get it under control before the arrival of Madelynn. Just wanted to update you all. Thanks:)

Update on Baby/Induction

Well I went to the dr this am. I got steroids for Maddy's lungs and go back again tomorrow for one more shot....man, my poor butt lol! I lost 2 pounds last week and another 1/2 pound this week, but she is measuring a tad big still. Anyways, he scheduled the induction for 1 day earlier because of his schedule so looks like March 25th will be her bday! So 2 weeks and 2 days left. I am so excited and happy to be popping soon. I just hope she is healthy and ready to enter the world.

The boys....it was 80 degrees.
My baby girl is getting so big
Me and Kenna, oh and Sandy
The whole gang
Wyatt reeling in a big one!
Oh yeah
Grandpa and Tanner
Ebbers and Tanner on their "log canoe"
Here fishy fishy

It was a nice day, 80 degrees, so we decided it would be fun to go fishing and take advantage of the weather. The kids had lots of fun and we caught a lot of fish. It was almost a mile hike in and a mile out though and the mile out was literally all steep uphill so I was pretty beat by the end of it. Next time I won't go to the gym beforehand....haha, I thought I might end up in L&D last night, but luckily I didnt! The good news is that we all have nice tans now:0)

Midieval Times!!

hehe, Daddy and Kenna
The boys chopping up Uncle Tyler
Grandpa, Aunt Heather, Kayla, Kenna, Daddy and Ebbers
Birthday boy Everett and Wyatt man
Us girls
All the kids
The whole gang! Coisin Joie, Nana, Grandpa, Aunt Heather, Uncle Tyler, Wyatt, me, Everett, Nate, Kenna, Tanner and Kayla

This is a really fun place. Everett is turning 6 today and he wanted to go to Midieval Times in celebration of his birthday. We weren't sure if the kids would be able to sit through the 2 hour dinner/show, not to mention the 1.5 hours we spent in the lobby beforehand hanging out. They did PERFECT though. There were so many adults that it made it easy to keep track of everyone. Nate and Everett cheered so loud for our blue guy that they both have almost lost their voices haha. Oh and the best part, tickets for the whole family were 130 bucks because this month they had a buy one, get one free on every ticket for us so it ended up half price total.
