Nate Got Accepted into a PD!!!!

He works as a Deputy for the County right now and will be soon working for a PD that he has been trying to get into for over a year. Heres the added bonuses, pay that is almost 10 dollars per hour more, no more copays for insurance, 3 day a week schedule, 10 miles closer to home which puts him at about 6-7 miles away and a family friendly department! I know Heavenly Father poured this Blessing on us this week at this precise moment because he is happy for our upcoming baptism. We have prayed hard for this moment for a long time now. I swear, over a year of trying to get in there and 4 days before baptism he finally gets hired on??? Eery/crazy/no coincidence! Its absolutely amazing what happens when you give your life over to Jesus and really trying to live in the ways of the Lord and in accordance to His teachings, blessings so great will be poured upon you.

My favorite Verses regarding Heavenly Father's Blessings

Mal. 3: 10
(
3 Ne. 24: 10) open . . . the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing.

I just want to write a prayer publically right now and tell you that I know the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is True and Father God, I want to thank you for all the blessings my family has been given. You have poured them upon us as of lately and we are so grateful to have the full Gospel in our lives now, it couldnt have come at a more desperate time then it did and I know you knew the perfect timing to send it to our family and to open our hearts to receive it. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Oh my GOD! As a former mormon and reading your past posts, you would think you'd get the picture. The lds church is a mind controlling cult. After awhile you will no longer know yourself b/c you will be just like all of them. Walking robots...

You have a beautiful family and you seem well rounded, please step back and think about what you are getting into. It may seem nice on the outside but everyone is hiding behind their fake smiles and happy pills.

Also, I am a AP mama as well and into organics, cd, babywearing, co-sleeping, HS, it's not taken well in most LDS communities. I am a very liberal person and one of the things that helped me see what the lds was all about was how they told me what to think about everything!

Check out the BITE model:

It gets worse after you go into the Temple, this will be the most disappointing day of your life. You are told to look up to it and when you enter you are bored shitless and wonder what the hell you have gotten yourself into. It's all a cluster fuck of mind control.

Janis! (((HUGS))) I am so happy for you and your family. I'm so sorry people like the first comment have so much hatred towards others and have to resort to such rude and degrading comments. Blessings have and will continue to come your way. You are an inspiration to many!

I have never posted a message anywhere on a board or blog, but I have to chime in here. I'm a 34 year old LDS mom of 7 here in So Cal and I've been folowing you're story from the babycenter board. I just have to say I think you are such an amazing person & mom. The fact that you have sought for a religion for your family and that you see such value in children & motherhood in so impressive to me. The church has instilled those values in me, but you got them on your own and that is a rare thing anymore. Also, that your your husband got this new job, I believe is a direct result of your decision to be baptized. (I followed your struggles with the idea of postponing baptism until after you paid off debts so you could afford tithing). I was hoping you'd chose to be baptised and not put it off. And please don't be intimidated by the church's expectations. I think it was Joseph Smith that said "Where much is given, much is required" and that is true, but the Lord had told us we are not required to "run faster than we are able", and he doesn't ask us to do more than we can handle. You will be amazed at the capacity you have, as the Lord will increase your abilities and help you figure out how to accomplish what he wants you to. Also, it's o.k. to say "NO", in fact there are times as a member of the church that you need to. My Stake President always says "Family First Always", meaning your calling or other church responsibilities or work or whatever must come 2nd. I believe you and your family have many blessings and a very bright future as a result of your membership and participation in the church. I hope something of this is helpful to you, I this probably sounds so random and all over the palce, these are just some thoughts I've had I've followed your journey to baptism. I even shared your story with my husband because I found you such an inspiration.

Ok, I felt pretty impressed that I just had to leave this comment. Naturally when folks leave harsh and combative comments, let alone rude/vulgar ones, the tendency is going to be towards ignoring them. Likewise when folks leave heartfelt, positive comments a person takes them more seriously. Janis, all I want to say to you is that regardless of the "feelings" you get (whether the negative sounding ones from people who are essentially saying "don't do it" or the positive sounding ones from those who are saying; "I'm so thrilled for you joining the church") you should know that plain and simple the LDS/Mormon religion is far from being the "true" church, let alone a church that even tells the truth. It's all out there--you know that from your seeking and researching--and many folks with much more knowledge than you or I have studied it, dug deep into it, as well as prayed, tested, you name it, and basically have come up with the irrefutable facts that it is NOT what it says it is (certainly isn't Christian) it hides it true origins, tells un-truths to it's own members as well as the rest of world, uses highly questionable/unethical practices, WILL truly control your life/thoughts/actions/rescources
decisons, etc. and will eventually leave you feeling regretful of ever having joined. The unfortunate part is once you have joined, they'll of course try to keep you and when you do decide you want out, it will be very difficult. Janis, think about it: if this church/religion were true, why on earth would they forbid the reading of any "unapproved" material? ANYTHING that is true will stand the test--ANY test of truthfulness, but yet the Mormons tell you to simply steer clear of anything that isn't written by them! THAT is a tell-tale sign right there--they should be saying, go ahead, read all there is, think about it, talk to people (not JUST Mormon people) and then decide if this is true and what you want. Instead they tell you to only read their material (calling anything else "anti") only talk to them, pray about it and hurry up with a baptism date! I know in the end you'll do what you want to do, all I can say is I wish someone had told me 20 years ago what I'm telling you right now. I do wish you the best..I'm sorry I had to leave this comment anonymous. I have wanted to e-mail you many times during your journey but always figured you probably wouldn't want to hear it and would just toss it aside with the others who are essentially saying the same thing but in a harsher manner. I hope you are able to take this in the spirit it was given and pray and know in your heart what is right for you and your family, not what anyone else tells you is right or true. Good luck and God bless you.

We love the Mormon People and are fearful for them because of what Jesus said...
Unless you believe that I AM (God Almighty) you will die in your sins... John 8:24k

The Mormons have another Jesus, a counterfeit Jesus, who is the brother of Satan!k

If someone says Jesus is not God Almighty, he is a liar and does not know God... 1John2:22

Sheesh Satan is working his magic lol. And to the poster who says Jesus and Satan are brothers, yes in the same sense you and I are sisters or sister and brother??? Wow that got taken out of context. If I am a walking robot, then so be it, I am the happiest robot ever lately. My life feels under control. I feel I am doing things that please my Heavenly Father and I have been poured more blessings than I can even count.

My being an AP parent and homeschooling has been taken very well in the LDS community and I have met so many like-minded moms there where as in the regular community, it WAS NOT taken well and I have been judged harshly for homeschooling.

Anyhow no need to defend myself, its a beautiful religion and if I ever feel the need to be on an antidepressant then maybe I will revisit it, but even then, I was about to be on one before finding this religion so I dont beleive that has anything to do with anything.

I am happy, love my life, love my ward family, love the support, love the village I am surrounding my babies with and only God Himself will stop me and so far, He hasnt!
